FEELING GOOD and GIVING BACK

The 2020 Waiheke Half Marathon is aiming to once again becoming a Zero Waste event with the support of the Waiheke Resources Trust.

As a Zero Waste event, we are committed to avoiding and eliminating the volume and toxicity of waste and materials and to conserve and recover all resources.

As part of our partnership with the Waiheke Resources Trust and their support for a Zero Waste event, we are committed to giving back to a local community conservation project.

The “Love our Wetlands Waiheke” project is about restoring & protecting ecologically important wetlands and surrounding environments that are habitat and breeding ground for many rare and threated native bird and fish species on Waiheke Island.​

The Waiheke Half Marathon organising team love running and walking in pristine places and supporting good causes! We are looking forward to giving back to the Waiheke Resources Trust so they can continue to do the amazing things they do on Waiheke Island.  We also encourage entrants to donate to the Waiheke Resources Trust during the online registration process so together we can all be feeling good and giving back on Saturday 2th May, 2020.
